Can I live in my East Valley house while I short sell it?
Today Kristin LaVanway and Dean Ouellette of the East Valley Team talk about your living arrangement while short selling your house.
Some East Valley home sellers ask if they can still live in their home while they are trying to do a short sale. The short answer is not only can you, but you should.
The bank would much rather you lived there for the security of the property. Also if you remain in your home while doing a short sale and continue to maintain it, the better offer you are likely to get on the house and the easier it will be for the bank to approve the short sale.
Living in your house while it is on the market as a short sale also gives you more time to line up new housing. There are many reasons you should live in your home while you are going through the process.
Thanks to Sasha Lopez for coming back to us after a week off. Kristin really missed the hair style advice.
