Fannie Mae is required to do HAMP for the money they received in TARP and at least look at loan modifications. Some home owners are suing Fannie Mae for not providing the loan modifications. You can read more at Mandleman Matters. Even if they get the loan modifications on their homes it still is unlikely that it will really help them.
