The first time home buyer tax credit is over, but that does not mean it is no longer a good time to buy a house. The thing is not much has changed, if it was not a good time for you to buy a house last week it is still not, and if it was a good time to buy a house last week, it still is. Sure the tax credit was nice, but it was not a reason to buy a home in the East Valley in itself. There are tools out there to determine if now is a good time for you to buy a house that is for sale in the East Valley or not. If you have the reserves for an emergency and are considering making the purchase you may want to check out the calculator at Ginnie Mae and see what makes more sense, buying or renting. For some people, it is buying. Would love to hear your thoughts email Kristin LaVanway to talk more about your situation.
