East Valley Real Estate: Is selling your Chandler home via short sale immoral?
Today Kristin LaVanway and Dean Ouellette of the East Valley Team talk about why they do not believe short sales are moral or immoral, but a business decission.
We recently got a question from a Chandler home owner about selling their house via a short sale. They were wondering if it was immoral to sell their house as a short sale.
Many people are facing some moral conflicts right now as they face the hard decision whether to short sale their home. But is it really a moral decision? There are those out there who like to paint that picture, but when it comes right down to it, the decision has a lot less to do with morality than it does with fiscal responsibility for you and your family.
Your agreement to repay the mortgage on your home includes provision in the event that you default on the loan. It’s built right into the contract. If you short sale, you are re-negotiating that contract with your bank. It’s not personal…it’s just business
Thanks to Sasha Lopez (yes we can see your reflection).
