Often time an investor will come to your house and say forget the real estate agent, let me buy your home and negotiate the short sale for you. What could be the problem in that? How about when they don’t see the lender reserved the right to come after you for a deficiency? You are then the one on the hook for the difference.
Make sure you consult with an attorney whenever you get an approval letter. Never put your future in the hands of a stranger or it could come back to bite you, bad.
