East Valley Short sales are tougher without good 2-way communications
East Valley Team member Dean Ouellette talks about how there has to be great 2-way communications for a short sale to have a chance.
Doing a short sale on an East Valley house is hard enough when everyone is pulling together in the same direction. When the seller and the listing agent are not both communicating well with each other they become that much harder.
When you start the short sale process you should have explained to you by your agent certain things such as what the bank is looking for and what to avoid. Your agent should also tell you to update you of any major changes in your life, large financial transactions that will be going through your checking account and any communications from the bank.
Unless both the agent and the seller are completely upfront with each other the deal can hit tough waters. A recent Tempe short sale experience showed that. The home owner did not communicate about some financial circumstances and the agent negotiating (me) was hit from no where by banks negotiator.
